This weekend I went to the recently opened Pier 1 at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the signs say the fanatically green lawns are closed until mid april. I look forward to frolicking in them once they are open.

I woke up this morning to falling snow and was soon visited by this red cardinal.

The temperature dropped to 8 degrees Fahrenheit and the wind picked up to start forming some nice ice structures on the shore.

Tom Otterness In His Studio

As the final Open House New York event I went to Tom Otterness’s studio in Carroll Gardens near the Gowanus Canal. He gave a very nice presentation about his work.
Red Hook Corner

On the way home from visiting places in Red Hook I noticed this building that struck me. Strange to see a wood building with no ground floor windows and the second floor windows boarded up.
