Over the weekend I went to BookCourt, I had meant to make it to an event there a week prior but my plan got side tracked by a night that ended with drinking a beer out of a paper bag as one of four fans at a amateur hockey game. At the book store I made my regular rotation, check the New York section, look over the tables of books, not get sucked into the children’s area. But I also thought I would pickup a copy of the book for which the event I missed was about, having only slightly remember the name of the author I approached the register and made an inquiry. The lady behind the register physically taken aback at first I thought that she was overly appalled by my miss-pronunciation but I soon learned that I had in fact asked about her book: Fly-Over State. This is the thank you letter that I received for purchasing the book.
